UAE-based Al Habtoor Group (AHG) plans to reopen its shopping mall in Sin El Fil by the end of 2023 in partnership with Triple Height, a Lebanese company established earlier this year by Marc Tanios and others.
The mall is located in Habtoor City Place, which is connected to AHG’s five-star Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand Hotel and is a few steps from its other five-star hotel Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace.
Triple Height will manage the five-story mall which will be renamed The Sooq Avenue. It will also operate other malls. The mall closed in March 2020 due to the crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic. It was operated by Azadea.
A 12-month grace period will be accorded to qualified tenants. Shop areas range from ten square meters (m2) to 500 m2. The mall will include clothing stores, footwear shops, small furniture shops, bookstores, and other kinds of shops in addition to restaurants, beauty salons, bank branches, and other facilities. It will also host entertainment events.
AHG recently reopened Hilton Beirut Metropolitan Palace, which closed following the Port Explosion in 2020 while Hilton Beirut Habtoor Grand remained in operation despite the blast.
Khalaf Al Habtoor, founder of AHG, said: “We have a great love for Lebanon, and I am totally confident that better days are ahead.”
