A new non-governmental organization was founded under the name ‘Lebanese-Libyan Friendship and Business Council’.

The objective of the association is to undertake social and economic development projects.

The association aims to "develop economic ties" between Lebanon and Libya. It shall seek to "foster investment opportunities for its members in both countries". It will also work to "develop trade relations between Lebanon and Libya through organizing exhibitions and conferences".

The organization's headquarters will be in Beirut. It plans to open a branch in Libya.

The founders of the association are Ghinwa Jalloul, Mohamad Karim, Mohamad Jalloul, Youssef Jalloul, and Walid Debsi.
