Green Business Opportunities on June 13-14

Private and public sector executives explore prospects for an eco-friendly business environment

The second edition of Green Business Opportunities conference will be held on June 13-14 at the Mövenpick Hotel, Raucheh.

The conference is organized by Lebanon Opportunities within the Green Business Initiative Campaign. It aims to inform the business community on ways to become environmentally friendly in an economically feasible manner.

During the conference, representatives of the private and public sectors will discuss and explore the prospects to attain a more eco-friendly business environment.

The two-day conference will host a series of workshops addressing various topics, including Making money from reducing the carbon footprint, and Net Metering, as well as Green Training, Green Manufacturing, Green Procurement, Green Packaging, Green Retail, Green Buildings, and Green Information Technology.


The Green Business Initiative is undertaken by Lebanon Opportunities, and the InfoPro Center for Economic Information, an NGO, in alliance with green companies and trade representative organizations.

The campaign introduced the ‘Green Pledge’, a contract by which signatory companies agree to undertake measures to preserve the environment, including minimizing waste and toxic emissions and carrying out awareness-raising among staff members.
