MEA joins global airline alliance Sky Team

Middle East Airlines (MEA) joined the global airline alliance Sky Team. MEA is the 17th Sky Team member, and its second member from the Middle East.

“MEA is joining the SkyTeam Alliance, comprising 17 airlines operating to 983 destinations worldwide in 178 countries with 14,800 flights a day”, said Mohamad Hout, Chairman of MEA.

“Joining SkyTeam allows us to expand our global reach and offer our customers hundreds more worldwide destinations; in addition it is integral to our strategy for growth and increased profitability,” Hout said.

MEA customers will be able to earn and redeem miles on services operated by all SkyTeam member airlines. Members of other SkyTeam airlines’ frequent flyer programs can also earn and redeem miles when flying on MEA operated flights.
