Indoor smoking ban unlikely to affect economy negatively

Researchers at the American University of Beirut refuted Tuesday a survey conducted by the Association of Restaurant Owners which claimed that the indoor smoking ban will have a negative impact on the restaurant industry.

The researchers said the ban would in fact have a positive impact on the economy, citing examples of other countries that prohibited smoking in public places and yet experienced economic growth.
