Clemenceau Medical Center performs ‘Robotic Surgery’
Share
A team of specialized surgeons at Clemenceau Medical Center (CMC) is now performing ‘Robotic Surgery’, an advanced form of surgery.
A statement issued by the hospital said CMC is the only hospital in Lebanon and the region performing this type of surgery. Robotic Surgery is minimally invasive using a special surgical system. The hospital purchased the system worth more than $2 million.
The advantages of this procedure include less pain, very small incisions (8 mm), less blood loss, and short hospital stay. Ten surgeries have been successfully performed through the system since its inception on July 31. CMC was established in 2006. It is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medicine International.
