Real estate sales' value rises in first nine months

Improved high-priced property sales increased the value of real estate transactions to $6.3 billion at end-September, a 4.8 percent rise year-on-year. However, the total number of transactions dropped by nine percent.

The total area of construction permits fell by 14 percent to nine million square meters. The Bekaa was the only area where construction permits rose, reaching one million square meters, up by around four percent.
