Labs accredited to test alcoholic energy drinks
Palm oil will also require lab tests

The Ministry of Economy and Trade issued two decisions through which it announced the names of accredited laboratories for testing alcoholic energy drinks and palm oil. Imports and exports of alcoholic energy drinks and of palm oil cannot exit or enter the country without having certificates from one of the respective institutions mentioned throughout the decision.

For alcoholic energy drinks, tests should include the percentage and source of caffeine and alcohol. The following labs have been licensed to test products:
1-Industrial Research Institute Laboratories, Lebanon
2- Intertek, Baden, Germany
3- KWALIS quality research Fulda, Germany
4- EUROFINS, Austria
5- ACIL/ETS Labs, USA
6- Public Analyst's Laboratory, UK
7- Chemisches Laboratorium, Germany

As for testing for the technical specifications of palm oil, the following labs have been licensed:

1- Chemiservice Laboratorio, Bari, Italy
2- Eurofins Laboratories, Denmark
3- MY CO2 Laboratories, Malaysia
4- Sawit Group's Central Laboratories, Malaysia
5- Cenipalma - Biochemistry Lab, Columbia
