Platform 39, a new furniture gallery for designers from the MENA region, has opened its first outlet on Mutran Ghophrael Street in Fassouh-Ashrafieh.
The 350-square-meter gallery exhibits a mix of home furniture and objects from designers such as Boboboom, Dar en art, Ghassan Salameh, Karassi Co, Micha Amyun, Nathalie Harb, and Sumi Furniture.
Rana Yazigi, owner of Platform 39, said that around $400,000 were invested in the project. “The furniture and design industry has great potential in Lebanon, despite the economic instability.” She said the gallery offers a wide range of items and furniture at prices ranging from $70 to $3,000.
Platform 39 also includes a coffee shop and a thematic workshop space, ‘The WagonLab’, where people interested in design can get face-to-face support, advice, and tips on creative projects. “We are very positive about our investment and we will gradually raise the number of displayed items,” Yazigi said.
