Airport activity sees good annual growth

The number of passengers at the Rafic Hariri International Airport (RHIA) reached 5.9 million in 2012, posting a 5.5 percent growth from 2011. Total arrivals rose to 2.8 million, up by 2.8 percent y-o-y. Total departures totaled 3 million, 8.5 percent up y-o-y. The number of transit passengers fell by 18.7 percent.
