The Ministry of Finance (MoF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC) to encourage bilateral investments in development.
Projects in infrastructure, energy, transportation, and waste management will be a priority to the two signing parties. “The MoU aims at strengthening bilateral cooperation at the levels of trade and multi-sector infrastructure financing,” the MoF said.
The CCC will assist in organizing projects and helping the government identify sources of funding. It will also “reinforce and facilitate long-term sustainability through education, training, technology transfer, and licensing.”
The CCC is the official representative body of the Canadian government. Its tasks include facilitating trade between Canada and other countries.
