The Lebanese University’s Faculty of Economic Science and Business Administration signed with Baraka Bank a memorandum of understanding that offers students internships and full scholarships.

Abdul Hamid al Taki, Marketing Manager at Baraka Bank, said: “We will train 20 students about Islamic banking for a period extending between one and three months.” Faculty Dean Kamil Habib said the agreement would help Lebanese University graduates find job opportunities through doing their internships at the Baraka Bank.

Al Taki said the bank will also fund ten full scholarships for students to pursue higher studies on Islamic banking. The program will be held on a yearly basis. Al-Taki said: “The scholarships will be given out to students of all faculty branches.” The faculty administration will choose the students who will receive them.
