BLOM and BTA sign agreement

The Beirut Traders Association (BTA) and BLOM Bank signed an exclusive cooperation agreement to develop a MasterCard credit card for customers of BTA members.

The ‘Beirut Traders Shopping Card’ card will be offered to customers of traders registered with the program. Cardholders will have access to discounts from the retail shops enrolled in the program, in addition to the benefits of MasterCard Credit Cards across the globe.

“The program enables retailers to offer their customers liquidity and loyalty card benefits that were previously offered only by very large retailers,” said Saad Azhari, Chairman and General Manager of BLOM Bank. He said the bank will be in close contact with traders during the coming three months to give them detailed information about the program.

The first ‘Beirut Traders Shopping Card’ is expected to be issued in late August 2013.
