Holcim distributes 2012 dividends to shareholders
Subsidiary sees increase
in sales of white cement

Holcim Liban announced that it will pay out dividends of 80 cents per share on its profits for 2012, and 25 cents per share on profits of its subsidiary, Société Libanaise des Ciments Blancs. The dividends represent earnings per share equivalent to 5.4 percent for Holcim, and 7.7 percent for Ciments Blancs, as per the latest share prices.
According to figures released the Beirut Stock Exchange, Holcim’s net profits dropped by about 36 percent to $18 million, compared to $28 million in 2011, after taxes. Sales of grey cement reached $188 million in 2012, down from $197 million in the previous year.
Société Libanaise des Ciments Blancs witnessed a four percent increase in net profits to $2.5 million, with sales of white cement reaching $14.5 million.
