Major taxpayers to submit electronic declarations

Decision concerns large companies starting 2014

Starting January 2014, the most important taxpayers, as per the definition of the Ministry of Finance, will be required to submit their tax declarations through an electronic portal created by the Ministry.

Tax declarations that should be submitted electronically include so far value added taxes (VAT) and return requests, built property taxes, and income taxes.

Companies concerned by this decision will need to fill out a form stating their compliance with the new decision by December 2013 at the latest. Failure to abide by the new decision will result in fines.

The Tax Authority will inform major taxpayers of any additional taxes that should be submitted through the electronic portal.
