Jbeil wastewater project launched
Treatment to benefit 50,000 persons

The installation of wastewater networks was launched, today, by the municipality of Jbeil, in collaboration with the Council for Development and Reconstruction (CDR).
Funded by the Italian Protocol, the $38 million project will benefit more than 50,000 people and take two and a half years to complete. The Italian firm, Cooperativa Edile Appennino, was awarded the contract.
Imad Saad, member of the municipality, said: “Installations will be made in Jbeil, Hboub, Amchit, and Blat. Main connections will also be linked to Jadayel and Hasrayel.” The treatment plant in the vicinity of Amchit has already been completed.
