Zoomaal launches a new competition

Beirut-based crowd-funding platform Zoomaal is launching a $20,000 Arab Women Pioneers Challenge in celebration of International Women's Day.

This challenge is a partnership between Zoomaal and Hivos (based in the Netherlands). It aims to support initiatives made by Arab women to recognize their leading role in the society.

Any Arab woman can post her project/idea on Zoomaal’s platform and enter with the chance to win up to $20,000.

The deadline for project submissions is April 15, 2014.

Qualified projects will receive an equally matched fund for every contribution their project receives.
