Université Libano-Française in Deek El Mehdi

Capacity to admit 2,000 students

Université Libano-Française (ULF) will open a new branch in Deek El Mehdi, Metn. Teaching activity will start in September 2014. “There is a shortage in universities in this region. The university will contribute in developing the Metn region,” said Fay Abdo, Vice Director of Communications and External Relations at ULF Metn.

ULF branch in Metn will be managed by Joseph Semaan, Director of ULF Metn. Semaan also owns Montana International College in Deek El Mehdi.

The total built-up area of the campus is 20,000 square meters. Part of the campus buildings already exists. Other buildings are still under construction. “We opened admissions for students and tuition fees will be affordable,” said Abdo. The university has the capacity to admit up to 2,000 students.

The campus will include three faculties: Business, Humanities and Sciences, and Arts. The university will offer several majors including marketing, business administration, accounting, hospitality, computer science, and interior and graphic design, among others. The campus is equipped with high-tech tools.

The university is certified by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education. It is also affiliated with foreign universities, and is a member of Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF). Programs are provided in English and French. “All schedules will be flexible, and we will try to fit them according to students’ lifestyle,” said Abdo.

ULF has other branches in Tripoli, Koura, and Chtaura.
