New mobile application to protect consumers

The Ministry of Economy and Trade launched on April 14 the ‘Consumer Protection Lebanon’, a new application on mobile phones.

Through this application consumers can file a complaint to the Ministry regarding any violation they were subject to. The concerned authorities will help consumers regain their violated rights.
The Ministry said that it will impose stricter control on the trade companies. It will also work on encouraging the consumers to inform the concerned authorities about all violations.

This project will drive traders to abide by the law and enhance the quality of products offered, especially those related to food.
