Mohammad Choucair, Chairman of the Federation of Chambers of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture was reelected as chairman of the Association of Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
Choucair said: “More efforts are needed to activate collaboration among Mediterranean countries to improve regional economy.”
ASCAME is founded on three main grounds: Economic openness, support for small and medium enterprises, and support for the infrastructure development program. “Our goals include encouraging investments in productive sectors, removing bureaucratic obstacles, and developing conflict resolution means such as arbitration and mediation,” he said.
The general assembly of ASCAME will meet in Beirut on October 14-15.
