The road linking Hadat El Jebbeh in Tripoli area to Bkerkacha in Cedars will be expanded and restored through a loan by Islamic Development Bank (IDB). The loan agreement, totaling $16 million, was enacted last month by Parliament.

The funds will be used to cover the cost of works on the 10 km road.
 
Works will also include pedestrian bridges as well as traffic safety and infrastructure facilities.

The loan will be paid over 12 years following a three-year grace period.
