Local copy center and printing house Doculand will open an outlet, this summer, in Erbil. Allam Jurdi, Franchise Development Manager, said the company has signed a franchisee letter of intent, and are waiting for the final agreement signature.
Last year, the brand opened a franchise branch in Nigeria. The franchise was sold for over $500,000 to OCCEL Engineering, a Lebanese-owned Nigerian firm. Jurdi added that the company launched their second Nigerian branch in June.
“These franchisees were trained well by Doculand, Lebanon, and they have all the know-how, and the essential market knowledge, that’s why they know how to operate the business very well,” the Doculand development manager said.
Doculand is also eyeing expansion in different sections of the GCC and larger MENA region, but are still in the process of appraising opportunities, according to the company.
Doculand Print and Copy Center was founded in 1997. It has five local branches: two in Hamra, Gemmayzeh, Dekwaneh and Mathaf. The company started franchising in 2008, when they opened a branch in Amman, Jordan.
