The International Village in Dubai will host a special wing for Lebanese companies from November 2014 until April 2015. Aram, a company affiliated to M.I.C.E Group for organizing conferences and exhibitions, will be organizing this participation. Elie Rizk, CEO of M.I.C.E Arabia Group, said: “Due to the economic and political stagnation, and the drop in the number of Gulf people visiting the country, it has become a necessity for companies to search for opportunities abroad.”
The International Village is a permanent expo, where companies display their products and services in dedicated sections.
It hosts about six million visitors each season from different regions.
Previously, several local companies took initiatives to participate in the International Village, but this will be the first time the country will participate in an organized way. There will be a special section for companies to display their products and services for six months.
Aram, in collaboration with the Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture of Beirut and Mount Lebanon (CCIABML), will communicate with associations, syndicates, and companies to encourage them to participate in the exhibition. “We will study their financial capabilities and desire of participation in the exhibition,” Rizk said.
The companies that are expected to participate in this exhibition are agro industries, agricultural exporters, artisans, among others. According to Rizk, these companies are providing high quality products that comply with international standards. “We will also focus on companies that offer innovative and creative industries, as well as technological service providers,” said Rizk.
The organizing company is also looking to lure banks to display and real estate developers and brokers.
The International Village was launched 16 years ago.
