Torbey ,who was speaking after a meeting with Minister of Finance Raya Haffar, was hinting to his objection on the Ministry of Finance’s proposal to increase the VAT tax to finance the extra spending. 

He said that all international funds have expressed their readiness to finance investments, “however this funding is tied to the calm political atmosphere that should be preserved by the government,” he said.
