Jurd Municipalities to receive EU help

The Union of Higher Jurd Municipalities signed an agreement with the European Union, to receive support for municipal reforms.

Youssef Chaya, Chairman of the Union, said: “The agreement was made to set a strategic plan for the union’s future projects.” The timeline of the agreement is eight months. During this time, a geographic screening will be conducted to come up with a list of projects that can be carried out in four municipalities.

“We will mainly focus our suggestions on infrastructure, agriculture, and tourism,” said Chaya.
