Atyab readying Jounieh olive oil factory

Increased production to meet local and global needs

Atyab Company, manufacturer of Boulos olive oil, will open a new factory in Jounieh, later this year.

Tony Maroun, major shareholder and General Manager, said: “We will increase the production capacity by 40 percent and install fully automated machines for pressing and packaging olive oil.”

The company invested around $5 million in the factory, including the land cost. The total built-up area will be 3,400 square meters and will include European packaging and labeling machines.

Around 20 percent of Atyab’s produce is exported to the US, Canada, Europe, Brazil, and African and Arab countries.

Atyab olive oil brands are: Family, Baraka, Zergo and Boulos. The company aims to launch, in the coming few months, new organic olive oils under the brand name Zergo bio and Boulos bio.
