Nour Trading, a manufacturer of textile clothes and lingerie, will inaugurate a new factory in April.

Nazih Zaytouneh, General Manager, said: “Although we are experiencing fierce competition from imported clothes, there is still large demand for local textile clothes in the market.”

The $1 million facility will have a total built-up area of 1,000 square meters. It will create around 55 jobs. “In textile industry we still rely more on the workforce than on machines,” he said.

The factory will double the company’s production. Nour Trading sells its products wholesale to shops in several local regions. It also owns retail shops in Tripoli such as Fylda.

The company also receives orders from Gulf countries, mainly Saudi Arabia and UAE. “We will be exporting our clothes to these countries after we increase our production,” said Zaytouneh.
