Plant for waste conveyors in Zahle

Sales to double at
Bou Chalhoub Company

Bou Chalhoub Company, a local manufacturer of sorting machines and conveyor belts, will expand into a new facility in Zahle, early next year.

The $1.5 million facility will have a total area of 3,000 square meters and a 1,000 m2 built-up area. It will create around ten jobs.

Sales reached $2.2 million last year. According to Charbel Bou Chalhoub, Executive Manager, sales are expected to double in the new facility. He said that municipalities are the end users, but organizations buying their products may receive funding for their environmental projects.

“Most of the projects we implement are funded by grants from the European Union and other international organizations.”

Bou Chalhoub installs conveyor belts for fruit sorting, cement packaging and waste sorting.
