Multiplastic plant slated for Nabatieh

To increase production by 50 percent

Multiplastic, a manufacturer of plastic packages for detergents, pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and dairy will open a factory in Nabatieh in 2016.

Ali Borghol, General Manager, said that the main factory in Bchamoun is running at full capacity and cannot fulfill the increasing local demand.

The new $3 million factory will have a built-up area of 2,000 square meters and will create 50 full time jobs.

The company’s annual turnover is $4 million per year, but the expansion will increase it to $6 million.

Multiplastic exports five percent of its production to Syria, Iraq, and African countries.
