Agreement between IRI and CERWAY to certify buildings

The Industrial Research Institute (IRI) has signed a partnership agreement with the French certification body CERWAY to certify buildings.

This agreement will be in accordance with the international rating system, High Environmental Quality (HQE), or the Lebanese rating system, Construction Ecologique et Durabilite Reglementaire Environementale (CEDRE), which was developed by IRI in cooperation with French partners.

These certification schemes allow construction projects to earn one or both classifications, if in compliance with these rating systems.

CERWAY is specialized in the certification of green building, and recognized by the Lebanese Central Bank (BDL) as an international certification body, which entitles project owners to benefit from low interest loans.
