Dairy factory to
open in Klayaat

To produce 60 tons of milk daily

Zouxi, a dairy producer, will open a factory in Klayaat, next month, and will market its products under the brand ‘Hrajli’.

The $5 million facility will have a built-up area of 1,800 square meters and equipped with automated machines imported from Germany, according to Wissam Khalil, General Manager. The factory will create 60 fulltime jobs.

The factory will produce 60 tons of fresh milk a day, in addition to yogurt, labneh, white cheese and mozzarella. It is considered one of the largest factories, as the total number of milk manufactured by factories daily is between 200 and 250 tons, according to the Ministry of Agriculture.

Zouxi will be provided with fresh milk from three farms in Bekaa and the North, with whom it has already signed contracts. Half of its production will be exported to Kuwait, UAE, and Qatar.
