Record Low Deposit Dollarization
The dollarization level of deposits is dropping, reflecting a growing trust in the Lebanese Lira

Bank deposits grew by 17 percent during that period, most of them in the local currency, four times the average growth for the past six years.

Deposits in liras grew by an equivalent of nearly $7.5 billion. Foreign currency deposits increased by almost $6 billion for the first nine months of the year. Non-residents accounted for 28 percent of new deposits. Loan dollarization remained stable at 85 percent.
