Duty free access for Lebanese exports to the US
Share
The United States renewed the Generalized System of Preferences (GSP) program that grants Lebanese exporters and 121 other countries duty-free access to its market. The program was established in 1974 but halted in 2013.
The GSP program, which will remain in effect until 2017, will allow Lebanon to export nearly 5,000 eligible products to America without paying duties and customs.
The benefits of the program will be retroactive, so that exporters may recover any import duties paid from 2013 till date.
