The rankings of the five top insurers remained unchanged with MEDGULF maintaining its position on top of the list issuing $94 million in premiums. It was followed by Bankers Insurance which issued $67.5 million in total premiums, AROPE at $47.8 million, AXA Middle East at $46.9 million, and Allianz SNA at $46.1 million.

ALICO’s position was the only one changed among the top ten insurance companies; it dropped to the 13th position while ADIR entered the top ten list, ranking in ninth place.

The first ten insurers still control the largest share or 65 percent of the market similar to 2008 (64.4 percent), the survey showed.

Among the top 20 insurers, seven companies improved their rankings while six others depreciated in their positions, the survey showed.
