Answering a question on the drop in MEA’s profits which the company attributed to the open sky policy, Kabbani said “that this is an internal issue for MEA… we refuse to alter this policy and we are ready to compete with all airlines,” he said.

Kabbani called for accelerating the establishment of the Civil Aviation Regulatory Commission. “The commission is vital to develop civil aviation in Lebanon,” he said.
