Lebanon has been included among countries covered by the EBSO Med project, a four-year initiative co-financed by the European Commission.

The project aims to boost the Mediterranean business ecosystem and promote inclusive economic growth and job creation by enhancing the private sector environment, namely the Business Support Organisations in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.

The value of the project, which was launched officially in June, is €6.25 million ($7.28 million). It covers ten Arab countries including Lebanon.

Partners who will implement the project are: BUSINESSMED, Union of Mediterranean Confederations of Enterprises (Tunisia), the Center of Arab Woman for Training and Research (CAWTAR), the Association of the Mediterranean Chambers of Commerce and Industry (ASCAME), the Association of European Chambers of Commerce and Industry (EUROCHAMBERS), ANIMA Investment Network and the German Arab Chamber of Commerce (GACIC).
