The new agreement brings the total lines of credit obtained by Fransabank, since it joined the program in 1997, from ATFP, to a total of $105 million, said Adnan Kassar, General Manager (GM), and deputy Chairman of Fransabank.

Kassar said that the ATFP has a key role in the process of achieving the economic integration among Arab States. He said that the support to Arab trade in general and inter-Arab trade in particular is fundamental, and is the gateway for the establishment of the Arab Customs Union and at a next stage- the Arab common market.

The Chief Executive of ATFP, Jassim Al Mannai, said that the program cooperates with 25 national agencies. “Lebanon is one of the most active countries in the program. The country currently contributes to the capital of the program, and this did not exist when Lebanon first joined the program,” he said.
