Public Deficit narrows until April
Revenues drop in April but increase in first four months of 2010

The total public deficit reached $681 million in the first four months until April, down from $1.2 billion in the same period last year. The primary balance continued to report a surplus which accumulated to $677 million until April.
Total expenditures in April alone dropped ten percent to $702 million. In the first four months of this year, total spending by the government also dropped to $3.8 billion from $4 billion last year.
Revenues dropped in April to $745 million, down 13 percent from the same month last year. In 2010 so far, revenues reached $2.7 billion, a slight rise by one percent from the corresponding period last year.
