The Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) and executive programs signed covered financial, media, technology, social affairs, youth, water and environment sectors, investments, in addition to education fields.
Agreements were signed by Ministers and their Egyptian counterparts, and the end of the signing ceremony, Prime Minister, Saad Hariri and his Egyptian counterpart, Ahmad Nadif, signed the final minutes of the meeting.
Hariri and Nazif held a closed-door meeting where they discussed bilateral ties in fields of economy and trade, and other issues.
Hariri, speaking to the press, has stressed the importance of the role of the private sectors in both countries, calling on Egyptian businessmen to seize from various investment opportunities available in Lebanon. “I tell Egyptian private sector companies to benefit from the trust in the local economy and come and invest here,” Hariri said.
Hariri and Nadif have also called on the Lebanese-Egyptian Businessmen Council to reactivate its role through meeting regularly. They have also stressed the need that the two governments stimulate bilateral trade.
