The Lebanese economy is service-oriented, meaning the main growth sectors include banking and tourism.

Most tourism in Lebanon is based in the capital city, Beirut, where the nightlife, restaurants, hotels, and museums are always up and running. Yet, it is the rural areas such as The Beqaa Valley, North Lebanon, and Mount Lebanon, though being rich in culture, cuisine, and archeology are not very tourist oriented.
