The Euro-Lebanese Centre for Industrial Modernization (ELCIM)and CCIAB said they intend to consolidate ties to boost the national industry in fields of marketing, funding, and administration, and improve the quality of exports.

Through this office, “CCIAB will team-up with ELCIM to support the Chamber’s long-term strategy to improve efficiency of the sector, and broaden the range of services to members,” the statement said.

CCIAB’s President, Mohamad Choucair said that the Chamber will build upon ELCIM’s expertise to benefit small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs), especially that everyone’s attention has turned to improve the quality and the efficiency of manufactured products.

Choucair said that the center would help to the Chamber with regard to the consulate services it offers, where ELCIM would be checking production capacities of companies and evaluating quality. The General Manager of IRI, Bassam Frenn, said that such partnerships help in creating equilibrium in the trade balance, double exports, and in creating new job opportunities for the youth.
