Global Re and Dubai World Insurance Congress (DWIC) jointly awarded the Founder and chairman of Chedid Capital the MENA Lifetime Achievement Award.

The award recognizes Farid Chedid business achievements in the insurance and reinsurance industry and his contribution to the educational development of professionals in the Middle East and Africa regions. It pays tribute to his group success story representing a unique business model, built on innovation, transparency and corporate governance.
Chedid said: “The group agility and relentless growth despite all regional challenges along with rigorous corporate governance and risk management policies combined with our values of openness and transparency, have always helped us to overcome all challenges. The recognition I receive today is dedicated to everyone who has contributed to the Chedid Capital group of companies’ successes.”

Starting with the launch of Chedid Re in 1998, Farid Chedid embarked on a two-decade-long journey building one of the region’s premier insurance and reinsurance groups across the Middle East, Africa, parts of Europe and Asia. He was named by Arabian Business among the 100 most inspiring leaders in the GCC, and among the 35 most influential Lebanese businessmen in the world by Forbes Middle East.

A UNDP Goodwill Ambassador, Chedid is active in support of many non-profit organizations, serving as a Board of Trustee Member at the Notre Dame University, Lebanon; a member of Human Rights Watch, Beirut Committee.
