The Ministry of Energy and Water, (MEW), issued the weekly revision of the prices of fuel, diesel and gas. The cost of 20 liters of fuel was hiked by LL 500; 20 liters of diesel went up by LL 300; while the price of a 10 kg and 12 kg gas cylinder was reduced by LL 200.

The ministry said that it was considering imposing a ceiling unilaterally on the prices of fuel and gas regardless of the position of the caretaker government.
