June 13, 2011- HOLCIM Liban sal approved the distribution of dividends for 2010, equivalent to LL2,220 ($1.47) per share after tax, according to the economic publication of the Byblos Bank Group, ‘Lebanon This Week’.
HOLCIM Liban, one of the leading cement companies in Lebanon, posted net profits of $18 million in the first half of 2010 compared to $29.2 million in 2009.
The company's net sales reached $92.7 million, compared to $173 million in 2009.
HOLCIM Liban has 19.5 million shares listed on the Beirut Stock Exchange.
Share prices closed at $17.5 on June 10, constituting an increase of around three percent from end-2010.
Société Libanaise des Ciments Blancs, HOLCIM’s sister company, approved the distribution of dividends for 2010, equivalent to LL450 ($0.3) per share after tax.
Ciments Blancs, engaged in the production and sale of white cement, posted net profits of $1.5 million in the first half of 2010 compared to $2.5 million in 2009.
Ciments Blancs' bearer share price closed at $2.8 on June 10, constituting an increase of 1.8 percent from end-2010.
