‘Lebanese Insurance Company’ switches name to ‘Zurich Insurance Middle East’

July 13, 2011- Lebanese Insurance Company, a subsidiary of Zurich Financial Services Group, will change its name to Zurich Insurance Middle East.

The Swiss company has also sought the agreement of the regulatory entities in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait and Oman to allow its subsidiaries in these countries to operate under the same name.

This announcement follows the acquisition of the Lebanese Insurance Company from the Credit Libanais Bank in 2010. It is also the first phase of the gradual deployment of a wide range of new products and offers that the company had planned for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).
